Pour yourself into it and let the light oil-slick down your spine. This handpicked hand-beaded vintage Maharani dress from the late 1980s to early 90s has full dark-mermaid energy, a pure silk base blanketed in hand-sewn iridescent sequins that oil-slick between green, purple and blue on black, with a diamond keyhole front, sculpted leaf applique, asymmetric jagged hem and pull-on closure. Tagged M, best for a modern S-M, with 44" length, 38" bust and 21" sleeves. A time capsule. Casts as a siren-villain and red-carpet wildcard, moving so the sequins shift color on every camera pass.

We build with organic Desserto cactus leather, OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified organic cotton and rescued, recycled and upcycled overstock, using zero animal glues and only non-toxic leather paint. Every order offsets its carbon, plants a tree, and arrives in a recyclable box made from post-consumer waste. Sustainability isn't our pitch — it's just how we make wearable art.
Transparency
We think you should know exactly who made your piece and how. Our part-time team in San Diego works in a healthy, genuinely fun studio and earns 50-100% above California's minimum wage, with remote work welcomed for our business side. Each garment costs us about $65 to make — roughly one hour of labor and $40 in materials — and is handmade by our California-based seamstress Rosa Sanchez.
